Retail Workers ... A Different Set Of Rules

The laws and regulations on overtime and work hours in Canada is applicable to most people, however retail workers have their own set of rules. The definition of a retail worker is someone who works for a retail business excluding restaurant workers.

Retail workers are allowed by law to refuse to work on public holidays, Sundays, and religious holidays. Retail workers are also entitled to thirty six consecutive hours rest per week.
