Parole In Canada
What parole in Canada basically means is that a person who has been convicted of a crime is able to serve the rest of their tem outside of prison. What most Canadians do not realize is that there are different types of parole and there are always conditions attached to the release of person.
Depending upon the decision of the judge they can choose between three different types of parole for the person. The first type is called full parole in which the convicted person may leave prison and not have to return as long as they do not break the conditions. The second type is temporary absence which is much more restricted than full parole. A convict will be allowed so many hours per month to leave the prison per month. The last type is called day parole in which a convict is allowed to vacate the prison but only during the day and must return at night.
Almost every type of parole has conditions attached to it which must be followed or the convict will be punished. These conditions of parole can be anything from avoiding specific places, counseling, or even meeting with a parole officer.
